What do flat earthers think about Antarctica?

Antarctica is mysterious. It is vast and austere. If flat earth theory were true, Antarctica would look as it is. If the globe were true, Antarctica would not be as it is.

It amazes me that Antarctica was not discovered until about the 1800s. Nobody got to the fake South Pole until the early 1900s. It was only just before I was born that it started to get explored. And then it was quickly shut down to the outside world, so that it is very difficult to get permission to travel there and to explore it independently. .

Supposedly the Piri Reiss Map shows what Antarctica looks like. That map supposedly was drawn before anyone went to Antarctica.

I’m wondering about attachment and transference with the therapist and the idea of escape and fantasy? How much do you think your strong feelings, constant thoughts, desires to be with your therapist are a way to escape from your present life? I wonder if the transference serves another purpose than to show us our wounds and/or past experiences, but is a present coping strategy for managing what we don’t want to face (even if unconsciously) in the present—-current relationships, life circumstances, etc. Can anyone relate to this concept of escape in relation to their therapy relationship? How does this play out for you?

The existence of Antarctica was hypothesized by the ancient Greeks. If earth was perfect, it must be in the shaped of a sphere. If earth were a sphere, it must have symmetry. The bottom must look like the top. Earth is not symmetrical. Antarctica is unlike the North Pole. The globe model cannot explain why it is so different. It is very much colder, very much more remote from humanity. There is very little life there.
